From Seawind1160Wiki
General
Description: Australian built boats have a non-articulating bowsprit, held on with two brackets, newer boat have an fully articulating bowsprit.
General
Description: Bowsprit stays
Material: Dyneema
Diameter: 10mm
Length: 2870mm (113 inches)
Splices: Eye splice on each end (38mm (1.5") inside of eye splice loop)
Notes
- There is a line that is used to raise the bowsprit, it is recommended that it is able to break away. This is in case the screecher halyard breaks and the sail falls into the water, in this situation it is possible for the sail to rip off the bowsprit and damage the fore beam.
