Description: Post by Ja Lea on the Facebook Official Seawind Owners Club group January 12, 2023 about a failure of upper forestay toggle
Notes

  • The redesigned involved fitting spacer plates/washers, between the toggle and the 8mm thick tang on the mast. This is to prevent the toggle from moving (every time a boat is tacked). Without spacers movement over time can cause the split pin to weaken then break.
