Heat Exchanger Cleaning: It is critical to flush the engine with fresh water before a period of inactivity. Pacwest in San Diego does NOT recommend cleaning the raw water system with Barnacle buster or other products because frequently this will lead to a pre-mature failure of the tubing inside of the heat exchanger.
