Port head operation tip
When flushing the head with seawater, urine reacts with minerals in the water and forms hard crystalline deposits called urine scale. Over time, these deposits build up inside the hoses, restricting flow and eventually leading to the worst jobs on a boat. To extend the time between required servicing, never allow urine to sit in the hoses.

On the port side, the hose run between the head and the holding tank is particularly long. It takes nearly one gallon of water to fully purge urine from this line. In practical terms, this means filling the AquaT™ Comfort toilet bowl to about one inch below the rim before flushing.
