SV Strikhedonia has the original (non-articulating) bowsprit, held on with two brackets.

Note: There is a line that is used to raise the bowsprit, it is recommended that it is able to break away. This is in case the screecher halyard breaks and the sail falls into the water, in this situation it is possible for the sail to rip off the bowsprit and damage the fore beam. SV Strikhedonia does NOT have a breakaway connection.
