The engine is a part of the project I underestimated. I had the engines on my Aztec overhauled so I thought I knew what I was getting into but damn there is a lot of work. Today was spent mostly fabricating and installing the ignition harness. Each cable had to be made from wire and terminals. Also I was able to mount the propeller governor bracket and get the controls hooked up. So that was nice.
Lastly up for the day was continued work on the AeroSport hinge pin cover. After the JB weld from yesterday bonded to the test fit cover today the backing fiberglass could be adhered. The good news is that the epoxy/fiberglass kicked and I was able to remove the test fit cover so tomorrow the cowls halves can be cut apart and nutplates installed.
