This has been a strange winter, weatherwise. The Sea of Cortez has been hit with cold and constant wind all winter. Down in Barra we have been buffered for the most part but it has made finding a weather window to get around Cabo Corrientes (and into Banderas Bay) more challenging than normal. My friend Jeff was flying into Puerto Vallarta on the 12th which meant when a small window opened up we had to take it. Unfortunately for Tanya and Joe this meant missing a visit to Tenacatita and only a day stop in Chamela. Blerg.
We did stop in Yelapa, even after all the problems last year. I went with Bulee since things ended poorly with Edgar last year, and of course Bulee’s mooring ball was too close to Edgar’s resulting in a close call with a large M/V. Thankfully the owner of the M/V hollered to his crew to move when we got within 15 feet of each other. Somethings never change…
