Rigging and Tuning the Flaps and Ailerons on an RV-10

I felt that the Van’s Construction manual left a lot to be desired on rigging the flaps and ailerons. The information was spread out over many sections and took multiple readings to understand the process. This post is meant to be a more straightforward guide.

1. When setting the flaps they need to be fully up against the rear spar
      a. The skin can interfere with the flaps hitting the spar, it may be necessary to bend of the top skin overhang
      b. When up against the spar the Flaps will be at the fully up -3 degree Reflex position
2. The ailerons are rigged to match the Flaps when at -3 degree Reflex position, so when the flaps are a 0 degrees they will NOT match the ailerons
