Felt good to help fix solar/charger issues for villagers

After a quickly breakfast everyone headed to shore separately. Adrian and I had plans to help Mon fix his solar/battery issue. After doing research overnight we both came to the conclusion that the panel wiring was exceeding the solar controller maximum voltage. In a divide and conquer, Adrian took on rewiring the panels while I cleaned up the dirty connections and fixed a number of poorly connected loose wires. Sadly this was not the issue. We tried adjusting the settings and a factory reset but ultimately we came to believe the Mosfets (switches) inside the solar controller were toast. The best we could do was write up instructions to manually connect the panels directly to the batteries we a big warning that battery temperature and voltage must be monitored every 30 minutes and disconnected once they reached 80%.

On to a second home, this was another connection clean up and exercising the various breakers, plus more written instructions. I had a work call so I left Adrian to finish up and paddled back to Sky Pond. Everyone drifted back and then Carl noticed a number of inbound boats. We wanted to move a few miles south to Champagne beach today, so quickly we upped the anchor to get a better spot.

My afternoon involved a lovely beach walk, relaxing under the shade of a tree up against a rock outcropping listening to the crash of the waves. Figuring I had better get more exercise I walked as far as I could south before the incoming tide cut me off. Along the way I grabbed a coconut, which I used rocks to crack open to enjoy a massive amount of coconut water.
