Another chance to sample many wines from Valle de Guadalupe and to help out a local children’s hospital? Sounds like a smart way to spend a Saturday. Throw in a couple celebrity chefs and it is a slam dunk. Winery Vinicola Bibayoff hosted the event with around 50 wineries and a number of food vendors.

Prior to the event three artists volunteered to collaborate with children in attendance to paint one piece each to be auctioned for the hospital. The artists provided guidance to the children based on their design and added some of their talents to the pieces too.

This mom, whose children helped paint the piece, was not to be discouraged and managed to snag the last piece of the day. All told around $1,000 was raised from the artwork. Not too shabby.
