Dyea town site is not much more than foundations but back in the May 1898 the population was 8,000 people, served by 48 hotels, 47 restaurants, 39 saloons and 19 freighting companies. There was a mile long pier connecting the shallows to the deeper water in the bay
Chugging back to Skegway with the fuel tank near empty
Finally back in town, peddling along the airport
